Boylesports is an irish bookmaker
Boylesports are a popular bookmaker running out of Ireland. They are great supporters of Irish football, and are in fact partnered up as the Official Online Betting Partner of the Football Association of Ireland. They held that title since 2008 now. You may have seen their name in the sponsorship of Sunderland, and were sponsors of the 2009 Premier League darts season. They are also a prominent name in horse racing as well, and the Irish Bookmaker, with headquarter in Dundalk, are very proud of their heritage, and their standing in online bookmaking. Well worth a visit for good prices and more.
Betting Odds: 8/10
Boylesports continuously pop up in odds comparison searches when it comes to some of the best competitive prices. They really push hard for good value, and it really works in making them stand out. The prices are in fractional format by standard, and well presented on the website. The betting slip sits over on the right hand side, and is well organised. It is actually one of the better and more organised betting slips that you can find. When you open it (the slip sits closed until you need it), you can see your balance and any free bets that you may have on your account, right in the Summary section of the box. Any price selections that you add to your slip sits in a separate section at the top of the betting slip, and just enter your stake to see your potential win. Very well organised, clear to read and quick to operate.
Betting Markets: 9/10
One nice thing about the Boylesports Sportsbook, and you will see it as soon as you land on the betting site, is the cool little icons which accompany each sport. The menu is split up into sections, just to your navigation go a little bit smoother, because Horse Racing and Football are deserving of their own place on the board. Click on the football section for example, and in the centre of the screen, you get Popular Coupons, English Coupons, plus Irish, Scottish and European Coupons all in their own little boxes, so you can't go far wrong. Each of these boxes have their own tabs in them, the English box for example allows you to switch the view from the Premier League to the FA Cup, League 1 and League 2. These are the main markets for UK punters of course, but a quick glance back to the menu on the left and you will see a huge list of countries, plus club friendlies, internationals and other competitions like Euro 2012 for example all there, if there is somewhere you want to quickly browse to. One thing about the Boylesports betting markets, is that is feels extremely convenient to get where you are going. The prices are listed right beside the markets, and a quick selection will send it straight to your betting slip. If you want more depth betting on a particular match, then you just hit the little black label next to the market to see a whole host of more bets (there's also a handy TV icon to inform you where you may be able to see the match). Once you do go into the submarkets, you get a bunch of links followed by the expanded boxes beneath so it's still easy to get around, and all of this can be filtered to your own preference. Boylesports really hit the mark with their betting markets, as there is a very big feel about their Sportsbook, and you can usually find some great unique bets hidden away in there.
Live In Play Betting: 7/10
You can immediately see the options for live in play betting on the main Sportsbook page, as there is small box on the right hand side, giving you details. Click on any selection and it will take you to the Boylesports Live In Play section. It is actually pretty good, but maybe not the easiest to look at initially. It is probably just a bit too colourful and busy, but that will be personal preference. Over on the right of the screen in a separate box, there is link to see upcoming events, or you can browse through the different events that are happening at that moment. This sits right under the betting slip and is useful. Most online bookmakers take you away completely from the main Sportsbook when you hit Live In Play betting, but at Boylesports, the Sportsbook menu stays open on the left and that may be confusing to some people, thinking that is pertinent to the different sections of live in play betting. Just a little niggling thing, but it doesn't stop the actual operation of the Boylesports Live In Play betting system operating very well. There is a good depth in the betting markets there on live events, but perhaps could have benefited from a little extra touch like stats.
Boylesports have a very prominent red white and blue theme going on, which some punters may find a bit heavy on the eye. They design itself though when you look behind the colours is quite nice, and works efficiently. There are main tabs at the top of the screen to flick between sections of the sites, such as the sports, poker, casino and games, and even though the colours may be bold, there is nothing overly flashy or gaudy about the Boylesports website. There are some extra nice touches, with a Hot Events section for quick convenience, and a betting new highlight where you can click through to read more from the Boylesports experts. Everything is well presented enough on the screen, the horse racing is good with Form, Results and Radio, and there is also a soccer radio and soccer stats (which is actually pretty thorough) to visit, just to help you along with your betting. The usual other tools are there, like the bet calculator, a betting diary and everything just seems to be where it should be. Here is the upshot of the Boylesports website. It is good, but when you click on the link for the Boylesports Classic site, you may just find that even better, as it just has that extra edge of clarity to it.
Customer Service: 9/10
There is a good, and very handy betting tutorial at Boylesports than novice punters may want to go and look at. It's clear that Boylesports were thinking of all levels of punters when they made the side. There's even a little quiz you can to take to ensure that you have gotten everything down pat before you go off and start betting. There is live help available at the top of the screen should you need it. If you need to get a hold of Boylesports, then it is easy enough. Click on the contact us link at the bottom of the screen, and you get everything, headquarters address, telephone, fax, email and even a map to get you there. There are separate numbers for the Customer Service, so make sure you get the right one (no indication of hours of operation by the way).
Promotions and Free Bets: 7/10
Boylesports are not really flush with betting promotions and free bets to be honest. There is the ongoing Best Price Guaranteed promotion on horse racing, which is pretty standard. It means that if you take an early or board price on a horse and the starter prices is greater, then Boylesports will pay out on the bigger price. Boylesports do offer a decent welcome offer, or a signup sensation as they call it. Simply open an account and bet £10 5 times (with real money) to obtain a£10 free bet. Repeat the process the 4 following weeks to achieve the £50 maximum bonus.
Terms and conditions apply, please see full details directly at Boylesports.
Summary/Overall Recommendation: 8/10
There is the feeling of being caught between two opposing forces with Boylesports. At the core of things, everything runs very well, there is a good feel about the website, the prices are great and there is enough expertise there shining through to make it a really worthwhile experience signing up. On the other hand, things could also just be that little bit better to really stand out in the competitive market. Good touches on the site and everything you could possibly need is there. A very sound, secure and solid operator in the online bookmaking industry. Well worth a visit and a good option to have in your arsenal.
