Scottish Premiership Matchday 3: Best Betting Football Tips

St Mirren vs. Celtic: Scottish Premiership Betting Tip on Best Betting Sites

Having dropped points at Kilmarnock last time out, Neil Lennon’s Celtic will be hoping to return to winning ways at the first time of asking in midweek. On Wednesday night, the Bhoys make the trip to Paisley to take on Jim Goodwin’s St Mirren at St Mirren Park.

The Buddies have started their Premiership campaign with three points from a possible six. Before losing 3-0 at Rangers last weekend, St Mirren beat Livingston at St Mirren Park on the opening weekend, with Richard Tait scoring the only goal of the game.

Celtic kicked off the defence of their Premiership title with an emphatic home win over Hamilton Academical. The Celts were far too strong for the Accies at Celtic Park, as Odsonne Edouard helped himself to a hat-trick in the 5-1 romp.

However, Lennon’s men failed to build on that, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Kilmarnock at Rugby Park last Sunday.

Celtic should strike back with maximum points in Paisley on Wednesday. In fact, it could be a stroll in the park for the Glasgow giants. BetVictor are offering the tempting price of 3/4 for the away team to be winning at half time and full time.

St Mirren 11/1
Draw 5/1
Celtic 2/9

Ross County vs. Kilmarnock: Premiership Betting Prediction on Best Betting Sites

After holding champions Celtic to a draw at Rugby Park last Sunday, Alex Dyer’s Kilmarnock will be in good spirits when they make the trip to Victoria Park to face Stuart Kettlewell’s Ross County on Wednesday. This promises to be an intriguing encounter in Dingwall.

Ross County, who finished in tenth last term, have made a stunning start to their 2020-21 campaign. Having beaten Motherwell 1-0 at home, a late Billy McKay strike earned the Staggies a 1-0 victory at Hamilton Academical last Saturday.

Kilmarnock battled well to take a point off Celtic last weekend. Despite going a goal down early, Killie rallied and struck back with a Chris Burke penalty. The Bhoys huffed and puffed but Dyer’s troops held on for an excellent 1-1 draw.

After taking six points from a possible six, it is strange to see Ross County as the second favourites in this one. Nevertheless, my money is going on the home win at the tempting betting odds of 19/10.

Ross County 19/10
Draw 9/4
Kilmarnock 6/4

Motherwell vs. Livingston: Best Premiership Betting Predictions

Stephen Robinson’s Motherwell and Gary Holt’s Livingston meet at Fir Park in Scottish Premiership action on Wednesday. Both teams have picked up zero points from two games, so this is an important fixture for the pair. Who will prevail in North Lanarkshire in midweek?

Motherwell finished in a lofty third position last season, but they have made a poor start to this campaign. After a 1-0 defeat to Ross County, Well were beaten at home by Dundee United by the same scoreline last time out.

As for the Livi Lions, they lost 1-0 at St Mirren on the opening weekend. Holt’s side were then walloped by Hibernian at Easter Road last Saturday, crashing to a heavy 4-1 defeat in the Scottish capital.

Motherwell will want to get their season going with a big three points on home soil this Wednesday. However, Livingston could also do with a positive result. With that in mind, take a punt on the draw and both teams to score at 15/4.

Motherwell 13/10
Draw 23/10
Livingston 21/10

Rangers vs. St Johnstone: Best Scottish Premiership Betting Tips on Matchday 3

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are back at Ibrox in midweek, as Callum Davidson’s St Johnstone visit Glasgow. The Gers have won both of their Premiership matches so far, and they are odds-on to make it nine points from a possible nine on Wednesday night.

Rangers have taken maximum points and kept two clean sheets so far. A Ryan Kent goal was enough for a 1-0 victory at Aberdeen on the opening weekend. Last Sunday, an own goal and an Alfredo Morelos double gave the Teddy Bears a comfortable 3-0 home victory over St Mirren.

St Johnstone’s game with Aberdeen was postponed last weekend, so the Saints have played just one league match so far this term. On the opening weekend, Davidson’s men drew 1-1 with Dundee United at Tannadice Park.

Rangers have looked solid enough thus far, and the Light Blues will be gunning for all three points on their own patch this Wednesday. The Glasgow side have kept back-to-back league shutouts – back Rangers to win to nil again at 8/11 with bet365.

Rangers 1/5
Draw 5/1
St Johnstone 14/1
