Massive payout for Paddy Power punter13th May 2019 / lee
There was a stunning win for a punter that needs to be told, in order to offer inspiration for bettors. The Paddy Power customer had placed a £10 deposit on her account ahead of the weekend and came out with a five-figure sum from it.
The woman, from Northern Ireland, had used half of her deposit on an accumulator covering the final day of the Premier League season. While that one didn’t pan out, the other £5 had gone to a horse racing each way fivefold.
That one paid out. Big. While Sunday saw a lot of upsets in the world of racing, the 25-year-old lady, placed her £2.50 EW fivefold bet (total stake £5) at 8.50am on Friday, May 10th and by 3 pm, she had pocketed a £53, 228.12 after backing winners at Market Rasen, Chester and Ascot.
The horses which had been backed were Sha La La La Lee (13.50, Chester), Final Song (14.00, Ascot), Forest Ranger (14.25, Chester), Kesia (14.35 Ascot) and the aptly named Safe Home (14.45, Market Rasen) who made sure the bet struck gold to the tune of £53,000.
The lucky punter admitted that horse racing wasn’t her thing “I wouldn’t know one end of a horse to the other, but I knew Ascot was on so I went from there and literally just picked the names of horses I was drawn to,” she explained last night.
“I didn’t know a thing until I went online this evening to see how they ran and saw my balance. I thought there had been a mistake so I logged out and logged back into my Paddy Power account again and saw it still there. I couldn’t believe it! I rang my Daddy. He couldn’t believe it either!” she laughed.
