Matchday three in the Premier League is already upon us, and we have a bumper weekend of English top-flight action to look forward to.
Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from an opening defeat when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday. The standout fixture takes place on Monday night, as Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield.
Check out our matchday three Premier League betting preview on Best Betting Sites.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s takes his Man Utd troops to the Amex Stadium to play Graham Potter’s Brighton on Saturday afternoon. Can the Red Devils strike back from last weekend’s home defeat to Crystal Palace?
The Seagulls have made a solid start to their 2020-21 season. Since losing at home to Chelsea on the opening weekend of the Premier League, Albion have gone on to win three league and cup matches on the spin, scoring nine and conceding no goals along the way.
Man Utd were poor against Palace last weekend, with Roy Hodgson’s Eagles leaving Old Trafford with a deserved 3-1 win. However, the Red Devils did beat Luton Town 3-0 at Kenilworth Road in the third round of the Carabao Cup in midweek.
This will be a tough test for Ole’s boys, and we can see Brighton stretching their unbeaten run to four in all competitions. BetVictor have the draw and both teams to score nicely priced at 4/1.
Brighton & Hove Albion 19/5
Manchester United 8/11

After a tough week on the road for various reasons, Tottenham Hotspur will be glad to be back home this weekend. However, they now have to gear up for the visit of Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United, who won 7-0 away from home in the League Cup on Wednesday.
Tottenham made it three wins in a row with a hard-fought UEFA Europa League victory over Macedonian side Shkendija on Thursday. A few days before, Spurs thumped Southampton 5-2 at St Mary’s to get up and running in the Premier League.
Newcastle swept aside lower league opposition in the Carabao Cup in midweek, with Joelinton bagging a brace in a 7-0 victory at Morecambe. The Magpies have won three of their opening four league and cup fixtures, although they lost 3-0 at home to Brighton in their last Premier League outing.
It has been a busy week for Tottenham, and the fixtures will keep on piling up for the London side. However, they have a very capable squad and should cruise past the Magpies on home soil this weekend. We like the look of Tottenham to be winning at half time and full time at 5/4.
Tottenham Hotspur 4/9
Newcastle United 13/2

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City go head-to-head at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday in the Premier League. As expected, Guardiola’s troops are the big favourites in this one.
Man City have played just two league and cup matches this term, winning both. After a 3-1 league win at Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Citizens beat EFL Championship side Bournemouth 2-1 at the Etihad in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
Rodgers’ Leicester have picked up back-to-back Premier League wins over West Bromwich Albion and Burnley, scoring seven goals to boot. However, they were beaten at home by Arsenal in the third round of the League Cup last time out.
Man City are always formidable at the Etihad, and Pep’s troops should have no problems in this one. You can get 8/11 with BetVictor for the home team to win -1 on Sunday.
Manchester City 2/7
Leicester City 9/1

Last but by no means least, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool entertain Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Anfield in the Premier League on Monday. These two sides have already met this term, with the Gunners beating the Reds in the 2020 FA Community Shield game at Wembley Stadium in August.
Liverpool beat Leeds United 4-3 at Anfield on the opening weekend of the season, which they followed up with an impressive victory at Chelsea last Sunday. The Reds also won 7-2 at Lincoln City in the League Cup last Thursday.
Arsenal have also started their 2020-21 season very well. Since the Community Shield win at Wembley, the Gunners have won twice in the Premier League and once in the League Cup. Before last Wednesday’s cup success at the King Power Stadium, Arteta’s men beat Fulham and West Ham United in league action.
Arsenal head to Merseyside with an unbeaten record at the start of this term, but Liverpool, who dropped just two points at Anfield last term, should make home advantage count on Monday night. There is excellent value in bet365’s 15/8 for the Reds to win and both teams to score.

After an opening weekend of thrills and spills in the unique EFL Championship, we are well and truly ready for matchday two. The action gets underway on Friday night, as Coventry City and Queens Park Rangers clash in Birmingham. What will unfold on matchday two of the most unpredictable league in world football? Best Betting Sites has the latest odds and tips.
Mark Robins’ Coventry and Mark Warburton’s QPR meet at Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium on Friday evening. Rangers started their season with an excellent win over Nottingham Forest – can they make it six points from a possible six?
Coventry started life back in the Championship with a loss to Bristol City last Saturday. The Sky Blues more than played their part but were narrowly beaten 2-1 at Ashton Gate. Robins’ troops will be desperate to bounce back with a positive on Friday.
Queens Park Rangers had a fine opening result, beating Sabri Lamouchi’s Forest 2-0 at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Lyndon Dykes’ 54th-minute penalty sent them on their way, with Ilias Chair doubling Rangers’ advantage in injury time.
Both sides are more than capable of winning this one, so a draw seems a likely outcome at St Andrew’s. BetVictor have the 1-1 draw nicely priced at 11/2.
Coventry City 11/8
Queens Park Rangers 19/10

Lamouchi’s Nottingham Forest entertain Neil Harris’ Cardiff City at the City Ground in Saturday’s early kick off in the Championship. Both teams will be hoping to respond after suffering 2-0 defeats on the opening weekend.
The Reds have yet to recover from their horrendous collapse at the end of last season, as they kicked off this term with a disappointing 2-0 loss to QPR at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. Still, they are the bookies’ favourites in this one.
Cardiff fell to a somewhat surprising home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last weekend. Garry Monk’s Owls put on the perfect away display at the Cardiff City Stadium, scoring twice before half time before shutting the Bluebirds out in the second period.
Nottingham Forest edged the last meeting between the two in South Wales, but Cardiff have an excellent recent record over the Reds. Half of the last ten meetings have ended in 2-1 wins for the Welsh side. Cardiff are available at 10/1 to win 2-1 at the City Ground this weekend.
Nottingham Forest 29/20
Cardiff City 19/10

Norwich City and Preston North End clash at Carrow Road in an intriguing Championship fixture on Saturday. Alex Neil took Norwich to the Premier League just a few years ago, but can he guide Preston to three points at Carrow Road this weekend?
Norwich sealed a 1-0 win at Huddersfield Town in their opening league match of the season last Saturday. The game looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw at the John Smith’s Stadium, but Adam Idah had other ideas, with the young Irishman hitting a winner ten minutes from time.
Preston’s season started in defeat, as Swansea City left Deepdale with a 1-0 victory last Saturday. However, North End hit back with a 2-1 win at Derby County in the second round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Norwich are the favourites to get the win on home soil, and they should see off Neil’s Preston this Saturday. We like the look of the Canaries to win -1 at 11/5.
Norwich City 4/5
Preston North End 10/3

Michael O’Neill’s Stoke City entertain Dean Holden’s Bristol City at the bet365 Stadium on Sunday. Will the Potters make home advantage count, or can the Robins build on last weekend’s victory with a positive result in Staffordshire?
Stoke have started with back-to-back 0-0 draws in the league and cup. After beating Blackpool on penalties in the EFL Cup, City battled to a goalless draw with Millwall at The Den in the Championship last weekend. Stoke face Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in the second round of the League Cup on Thursday night.
Bristol City could have a good season under Holden, who was the assistant manager at Ashton Gate for four years before landing the full-time job in August. The Robins started their league campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 home win over Coventry after beating Exeter City 2-0 in the cup.
Bristol City are in high spirits ahead of this round of fixtures, but we can see Stoke edging this one at the bet365 Stadium. The Potters are priced at 11/4 to win by one goal on Sunday.

Bristol City 14/5

The 2020-21 Premier League season gets underway this weekend. We have a total of eight matches to look forward to, including the tasty fixture at Anfield between Premier League champions Liverpool and EFL Championship champions Leeds United. We have the best betting odds and top tips on Best Betting Sites.
Scott Parker’s Fulham welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to Craven Cottage in the Premier League this Saturday afternoon. The Gunners make the short trip across London as strong favourites to return to the Emirates Stadium with all three points.
Parker did a superb job at the Cottage in his first full season in charge, guiding the Cottagers to fourth spot and a place in the Championship play-offs. After seeing off Cardiff City over two legs in the semis, Joe Bryan’s brace gave Fulham a 1-0 win over west London rivals Brentford in the 2020 Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium.
Arsenal finished in a lowly eighth spot in the Premier League last season, though there was certainly an improvement under Arteta. The Gunners booked their place in the 2020-21 UEFA Europa League by beating Chelsea in the 2020 Emirates FA Cup final.
Arsenal have dominated recent games between the two, and Arteta’s boys should secure a comfortable victory at Craven Cottage at the weekend. Back the away team to be winning at half time and full time at 6/4.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool entertain Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds at Anfield on the opening weekend of the Premier League season. This is one of the standout fixtures of the round, but the Reds will surely be too strong for the Whites.
Liverpool had a remarkable 2019-20 season in the Premier League, amassing a staggering 99 points to win their first English title for 30 years. Klopp’s troops were near faultless at home, dropping just two points at Anfield all season.
Leeds gained promotion back to the Premier League after years and years of trying, winning the Championship title at a canter. United had the best away record in England’s second tier, picking up an impressive 13 victories from 23 away league matches.
Bielsa’s Leeds will no doubt have a real go at Anfield, but Liverpool will fancy their chances of sealing a sizeable home victory on Saturday. Put some money on the hosts to win -2 at 11/5.
Leeds United 19/2

David Moyes’ West Ham United and Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United meet in an intriguing Premier League matchup at the London Stadium on Saturday night. Can the Hammers make home advantage count?
West Ham had a tough time in the top flight last season, as they won just ten times. At the London Stadium, the Irons chalked up a mere 22 points, with only Bournemouth, Southampton and Norwich City accumulating fewer home points.
Newcastle have made some decent signings lately, which should change the mood at St James’ Park before the season gets underway. Can the Magpies improve on last season’s 13th-place finish in the Premier League?
With this one taking place at the London Stadium, West Ham could just have the edge. Check out the tempting odds of 11/4 for the home side to win by one goal.
West Ham United 23/20
Newcastle United 13/5

On Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton go head-to-head at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the capital. Jose Mourinho’s Spurs will want all three points on the opening weekend of the new season.
Tottenham had a poor 2019-20 campaign, but they did show an improvement at the end of the season. Mourinho’s men will be hoping to break back into the UEFA Champions League places this term.
Everton finished down in 12th position last season. The Toffees struggled for consistency, winning 13, drawing ten and losing 15 of their 38 league matches. Can Ancelotti’s boys improve on that this time around?
In this fixture last term, Spurs picked up all three points and kept a clean sheet on home turf. Tottenham are available at 21/10 with bet365 to win to nil on Sunday.
Tottenham Hotspur 5/6

The wait is finally over, as EFL Championship football is back this weekend. We have several mouth-watering matches in the second tier to get stuck into, including Saturday afternoon’s intriguing clash between Birmingham City and Brentford. We, at Best Betting Sites, pick out the top four games of the weekend.
After losing the Championship play-off final, how will Brentford react on the opening weekend of the new season? Thomas Frank takes his Bees to St Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium to play Aitor Karanka’s Birmingham City.
Birmingham had a poor 2019-20 season, finishing just two points above the drop zone in 20th spot. However, bringing in the experienced Karanka could turn out to be a great bit of business by the Blues board.
Brentford are one of the favourites for promotion to the Premier League. Despite losing one of two of their better players, the Bees still have one of the strongest teams in the Championship. Can they go one better and secure promotion this term?
Brentford head to the Midlands as the odds-on favourites to get the three points. Have a punt on the away team to win -1 at 23/10.
Birmingham City 10/3

Bournemouth start life back in the Championship with a tricky fixture against Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers at the Vitality Stadium this Saturday. Long-serving manager Eddie Howe has left, being replaced by the familiar face of Jason Tindall – can the new Cherries boss get off to a winning start on Saturday?
After several successful years in the top flight, Bournemouth’s Premier League journey came to an end last season. However, the Cherries do not plan on being in the Championship for long, and Tindall’s troops are one of the favourites for promotion.
Blackburn had a fine season under Mowbray. Despite finishing in 11th place in the end, Rovers were certainly in the play-off picture. Can the club from Ewood Park secure a top six place this term?
Bournemouth will be desperate for all three points on the opening weekend, but Blackburn are a tough nut to crack these days. We like the look of the draw and both teams to score at 15/4.
Blackburn Rovers 27/10

Garry Monk’s Sheffield Wednesday could be in for a tough season. This Saturday, the Owls start their 2020-21 Championship campaign with a trip to South Wales to take on Neil Harris’ Cardiff City.
Harris did a fine job at the Cardiff City Stadium last term, guiding the Bluebirds to the play-offs. Unfortunately, City were beaten by Fulham in the semi-finals. This will be the former Millwall man’s first full season in charge in the Welsh capital.
As if things were not hard enough, Wednesday are set to face a 12-point deduction having allegedly broken Football League rules over a period of time. Before a ball has been kicked, the Owls are priced at just 13/8 for the drop.
Cardiff were strong on their own patch last season, and the Bluebirds should kick off their campaign with a comfortable home victory at the weekend. BetVictor are offering the best price of 13/5 for the home side to be winning at half time and full time.
Cardiff City 21/10
Sheffield Wednesday 13/5

New Reading manager Veljko Paunovic begins life in England with an away game at Pride Park on Saturday. Phillip Cocu’s Derby County are the favourites on home soil, but can the Royals return to Berkshire with a positive result?
After a tenth-place finish last term, Derby will be pushing for a play-off spot this season. County were good at home in the previous campaign, with just four clubs picking up more home points than the Rams.
Mark Bowen guided Reading to 14th last term, with Paunovic being brought in to take the Royals to the next level. Could Reading be dark horses for the play-offs?
Derby are strong at home, with just four clubs winning on their patch last season. We fancy the hosts to secure the points in this one. The Derby victory is available at 21/20 with bet365.
Derby County 21/20

The first round of the 2020-21 Carabao Cup continues this weekend. The action starts on Friday night and concludes with Sunday’s matchup between EFL Championship sides Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers. We pick out the top four cup ties for Best Betting Sites.
Phillip Cocu’s Derby County welcome David Dunn’s Barrow to Pride Park in the Carabao Cup on Saturday afternoon. The Rams are the clear favourites to get the win and book their place in round two.
Derby had an up and down kind of 2019-20 season. They made a late push for the play-offs, but Cocu’s men ended up in tenth place in the Championship. The Midlands outfit will be aiming for a top six finish this time around.
Barrow are in the Football League after winning the National League last term. David Dunn is the new man in charge at Holker Street, and the Bluebirds from Cumbria will no doubt face a real fight for survival in EFL League Two this season.
Derby will be looking for a comfortable home victory this weekend. Have a punt on County to win both halves of this one at 15/8.
Derby County 2/5

Newport County and Swansea City do battle in an all-Welsh EFL Cup affair on Saturday afternoon. This promises to be a spicy encounter at Rodney Parade, but can the League Two side cause an upset against Championship opposition?
Newport reached the League Two play-off final at the end of the 2018-19 season, but they finished in a disappointing 14th spot in the fourth tier last term. Nevertheless, County have pulled off some memorable cup shocks under boss Mike Flynn – can they upset fellow Welsh outfit Swansea on Saturday?
Steve Cooper did a superb job at the Liberty Stadium last season, guiding Swansea to sixth spot in his first year in charge. Unfortunately for the Swans, Brentford got the better of them in the Championship play-off semi-finals.
Swansea will be eyeing up promotion to the Premier League, while a decent run in the cup will also be welcome for Cooper’s men. Back the Swans to win -1 at Rodney Parade on Saturday, which BetVictor has nicely priced at 2/1.
Newport County 7/2
Swansea City 4/5

EFL League One new boys Northampton Town welcome Championship side Cardiff City to Sixfields Stadium on Saturday. The Bluebirds are the favourites in this cup tie.
Against all odds, Keith Curle guided Northampton to promotion from League Two, thumping Exeter City 4-0 in the Wembley Stadium final. How will the Cobblers fare in the third tier this term?
Neil Harris’ Cardiff finished fifth in the Championship last season, narrowly losing out to Fulham in the play-off semi-finals. The Bluebirds were excellent after retuning from the enforced break, especially away from home.
Cardiff should have no problems in Northamptonshire on Saturday. We like the look of 21/10 for the away team to be winning at half time and full time at Sixfields.
Northampton Town 14/5

Brentford open up the Brentford Community Stadium with an EFL Cup fixture against fellow Championship outfit Wycombe on Sunday. The Bees have been tipped to have another good season under Thomas Frank, with promotion to the Premier League being their main aim.
An exciting new era is upon Brentford, who christen their new home on Sunday. The Bees are going places under Frank, with the bookies tipping the London outfit for promotion this season. Before they get their league campaign underway at Birmingham City next week, Brentford are priced at just 5/2 to be promoted.
Wycombe are gearing up for their first ever season in the Championship after winning the League One play-offs at the end of last season. The popular Gareth Ainsworth has done a remarkable job at Adams Park since taking over eight years ago.
Wycombe will have one eye on next weekend’s huge Championship matchup with Rotherham United, and Brentford will want to start life in their new home with a comfortable cup win. Back the Bees to win -2 at 7/2.
Wycombe Wanderers 5/1

The 2020-21 season of the UEFA Nations League kicks off this week. There are a number of mouth-watering matches taking place over the next few days, with all home nations in action. Gareth Southgate’s England will be out for revenge against Iceland, who knocked them out of UEFA Euro 2016. Also, how will Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland fare on Nations League matchday one? Check out Best Betting Sites to find out.
New Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny takes his troops to the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia to play Bulgaria in their Nations League opener on Thursday. Can Kenny start with a win?
The Bulgarians have been on a shocking run of results in recent times, winning just one of their previous 14. They have lost seven of their past nine, but they did beat Czech Republic in a UEFA European Championship qualifier back in November last year.
Mick McCarthy, who recently opted to leave the Ireland managerial role, brought the feel-good factor back to the nation. Kenny will be hoping to continue that, starting with a win in Sofia on Thursday night.
Ireland will fancy their chances of taking maximum points against Bulgaria and Finland before playing Wales in Dublin in October. Back the Irish to come out on top in this one at 13/10.
Republic of Ireland 13/10
* (Betting Odds were taken from Bet Victor on September 2nd, 2020 at 17:20 p.m.)
Ryan Giggs’ Wales start their Nations League campaign in Finland on Thursday night. The Dragons will be hoping to get off to a winning start at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital.
Finland head into this Thursday’s Nations League opener having won six of their last nine. They qualified for UEFA Euro 2021 by following Italy through from Group J.
Since falling to back-to-back defeats to Croatia and Hungary, Wales have won four and drawn two of their last six. Giggs’ men booked their place in next summer’s Euro 2021 tournament with back-to-back wins last November.
The Finns will not be an easy nut to crack in Helsinki, but we fancy the Dragons to secure a narrow win. Back Wales to win by one at 11/4.

Mirel Radoi’s Romania and Ian Baraclough’s Northern Ireland lock horns in Nations League action in Bucharest on Friday. This will be Baraclough’s first game in charge since taking over from Michael O’Neill.
Romania have improved in recent years, but they failed to qualify for Euro 2021. Spain, Sweden and Norway all finished above the Romanians in qualifying Group F.
Northern Ireland put up a brave fight against the likes of Germany and Holland in Euro 2021 qualifying Group C, eventually coming up short. However, they picked up four wins and held the Dutch to a draw in Belfast.
Life after O’Neill could take some getting used to, but Baraclough has all the credentials to take Norn Iron forward. We are backing the Green and White Army to leave Bucharest with a point (9/4) on Friday.
Northern Ireland 23/10

Steve Clarke’s Scotland welcome Israel to Hampden Park this Friday in Nations League Group B2. The Scots will also go up against Czech Republic and Slovakia in a tough group.
Scotland had a good inaugural Nations League campaign, winning three of four games to win Group C1 and gain promotion to League B, along with Israel. Scotland were beaten 2-1 in Haifa but returned the favour with a memorable 3-2 home win over the Israelis in Glasgow.
With some tough games coming up, Scotland could do with all three points from their Nations League opener on Friday. This promises to be another cracker between the two countries, and my money is going on the Scotland win and both teams to score at 10/3.

Southgate takes England to Laugardalsvollur in Reykjavik to play Erik Hamren’s Iceland on Saturday. The Icelanders are without doubt the weakest link in the group, with Belgium and Denmark also participating in League A, Group 2.
Iceland are certainly a nation on the up, and they will be hoping to cause the Three Lions problems once again. Since losing at home to France back in October last year, Hamren’s boys have won four and drawn one of five.
England are also on the rise, as Southgate had done a terrific job with this young English team. The Three Lions have won six of seven since losing to Holland in the Nations League semi-finals back in June 2019.
England have scored 17 goals in their last three matches, keeping clean sheets in all three. The English are nicely priced at 4/5 to win to nil in Reykjavik on Saturday.
