Today’s best football betting tips UK – July 31st 2020

Today’s football betting tips start with the top business of the day from Europe.

That is the League Cup Final from France which sees PSG take on Lyon for the silverware.

Continuing our football betting for today we will take a look at the opening action of the resuming Irish Premier League and take a visit to the Belarusian Premier League, which of course, gained a lot of attention this year.

Best Football Betting Tips Today: PSG v Lyon

So to kick off today’s football betting tips we are looking at the French League Cup Final. Heading into the game as 4/9 favourites with Bet365 is PSG.

There’s little surprise there, especially after they beat St Etienne in the French Cup Final recently.

That was PSG’s first competitive game since the French league season ended early.

So now more silverware is in sight, but they are missing Kylian Mbappe who was injured in last week’s game against St Etienne.

It wasn’t the greatest of performances from PSG last weekend, failing to get much going in attack, but again it was a fair while since they had played a game.

PSG do still have plenty of attacking options in the likes of Mauro Icardi, Neymar and Edinson Cavani if they wanted to call on him.

PSG are on a three-match winning streak against Lyon, scoring a total of ten goals in those three wins.

Lyon are coming in cold from the break then, but have been going through the motions of club friendly matches.

Les Gones have done a lot of playing around with their tactics and formations in those.

When the League season was closed, Lyon were sitting down in 7th with a W11 D7 L11 record.

Lyon had already lost their two games against PSG for the campaign and indeed, had lost seven of eight games played against the final top five.

Still, PSG were poor last week and having a go at both teams to score could offer some value.

PSG to win & BTTS at 8/5

Football Betting Picks Today: Derry v Sligo Rovers

The Irish top flight had barely started before it had to go into its enforced break. It returns on Friday night in what will be a reduced season.

Derry had posted a W1 D1 L2 record in their four games played, but remained unbeaten on home soil, which should see them take fancy for punters in this one.

Derry are 4/7 with Sportingbet to collect the match win on Friday.

There is some head to head form to warrant having some serious considerations about that particular outcome in today’s football betting.

Derry are on a five match unbeaten streak of form against Sligo Rovers, conceding in just one of those five fixtures.

There is also the form of Sligo Rovers to take into consideration from what they have played this season.

It was a terrible start to the campaign from them as they lost all four fixtures.

Sligo Rovers failed to score in three of those four games, so based on that, there does look a reasonable option on backing the home side to pick up a clean sheet.

Derry to win to nil 8/5

Football Betting Tips for Today: FC Slutsk v Shakhter Soligorsk

Belarusian Premier League leaders Shakhter Soligorsk are in action on Friday night looking to extend their excellent W10 D7 L2 record for this campaign.

They are W4 D5 L0 out on the road this season, drawing three of their last four played on their travels.

So there has been a decent amount of points that they have let slip through their fingers away from home.

But does a defeat for them look likely?

No as they are undefeated in their last fourteen Premier League games, home and away combined.

Check out our Bet365 review

FC Slutsk are going to have to defy massive 9/1 underdog odds at Betfair to collect a win.

They are in heaps of trouble at the moment having lost six of their last eight games (W1 D1) in the top flight.

Their home record stands at W3 D3 L3 for the campaign where they have yet to manage to get a clean sheet on the board.

As Slutsk have scored in all but two home games and Shakhter Soligorsk have drawn their two away games played against the current bottom two, a draw looks a decent option.

Draw 4/1
