Today’s best football betting tips UK – Monday, 28th September 202028th September 2020 / lee
Today’s football betting tips visit the Premier League as Fulham seek their first league points of the new season as they host Aston Villa.
Reigning EPL Champions Liverpool will also be in action on Monday night as they face off against Arsenal in the big game of the weekend.
There is also action from further afield in Italy and Germany that we will be looking at for football betting tips today.
Best Football Betting Tips Today: Fulham v Aston Villa
The newly-promoted Fulham have yet to get a point on the board having lost back to back games against Arsenal and Leeds.
So there is a bit of early pressure on Scott Parker’s men to come up with a win but that may not be that easy against the in-form Villa.
Fulham are 19/10 underdogs at Craven Cottage to come up with a victory in Monday night’s clash.
However, the Cottagers have won their last four home games against the Villains, so they have the head to head form on their side.
This will be the first meeting in the league since the 2017/18 Championship season in which the two traded home wins, before Fulham claimed a 1-0 in the Play Off Final against the Villains.
Villa will be more than happy with a positive start to the new season having taken four points from their opening two games.
There was a 1-1 draw against West Ham and then a 1-0 success over Sheffield United to follow and with bookmaker Betvictor they are 6/4 for the win on Monday.
But the Villains are looking just a little bit lightweight in front of goal, so we would look at a reason Fulham Draw No Bet to see the Cottagers get at them.
Football Betting Picks Today: Paderborn v Hamburg
We are swinging over to the German second tier for football betting for today, next.
It is the early stages of the campaign there as this will be just the second match for each.
Paderborn opened their account with a 1-0 away loss at Holstein Kiel and on home turf they are the 17/10 underdogs for Monday with Betvictor.
Part of the reason for that is that they were relegated from the Bundesliga at the end of the last campaign and have lost two of their last three at home against Hamburg.
Hamburg opened their new domestic season with a win, getting a 2-1 home success over Fortuna Dusseldorf.
The visitors are 6/4 odds-against for three points on Monday and it doesn’t look as if there is going to be too much to split the team.
Hamburg does look the slightly stronger of the two, however.
So we are skipping over the match outright and looking in a different direction.
Both teams have scored in just one of the last five meetings so that football betting option has to be on the cards for today.
Football Betting Tips for Today: Bologna v Parma
The next stop is the Italian top flight for Bologna v Parma football betting. This is from the second round of action in the new season.
Bologna were losers on the opening weekend for their campaign, suffering a 2-0 loss against AC Milan.
They were on a mid-table finish last season in the top flight and their home record from that was only W5 D8 L6.
But they get the home advantage here and that is enough for bookmaker Betvictor to have them in as the 10/11 odds-on favourites.
They were seen off at home by Napoli in a 2-0 loss and they are the 11/4 underdogs in this one.
Two of the last three between these at Bologna have ended in a draw.
As this is early season between two teams who struggled against quality opposition last weekend, we’d be happy to plump for another draw.
Best Betting Sites Football Tip: Liverpool v Arsenal
This is the big one, a great rivalry renewed between Liverpool and Arsenal and both teams are, exciting, carrying some good form.
Wins over Leeds and Chelsea have given the Reds a perfect start to their title defence and they have fired off six goals in those two fixtures as well.
So they are comfortably up and running and Liverpool are the 1/2 favourites to pick up three points on Monday night.
Each of the last four meetings between these two at Anfield have produced at least four goals.
So hopefully there will be a few flying around today.
The two have met already this season, playing out a 1-1 draw in the Community Shield in late August.
The Gunners have started the season equally as well taking wins over Fulham and West Ham but this, of course, will be their biggest test yet.
Arsenal go to Anfield as the 11/2 underdogs and it’s all going to be about whether or not their defence can handle the red-hot Liverpool attack.
We think that the Gunners will stay close to them at least, even in defeat.
